Signalling Device Exercise 2010

On the 23rd March 2010, Marina de Lagos organised a signalling device exercise in Meia Praia, such as hand held flares, parachutes, rockets and smoke cans.

About 30 guests who joined had the chance to try-out different types of equipment and their correct handling during an emergency situation at sea. How to open the device, where to hold it, whether or not gloves are needed, or what type of deployment system best suits you were some of the doubts participants were able to clear out.

Marina de Lagos thanks the Maritime Police agents for their advice and assistance during the exercise and the O’Briens for their work in obtaining information from equipment’s performance and pictures.
