Mar de Cordas - Rope design

Mar de Cordas is an eco-responsible craft project created by Florbela Corga. The project focuses on the creative recycling of used nautical ropes, transforming materials from the maritime world into unique handmade pieces.

Inspired by the sea and nature, the aim is to give a second life to materials that would otherwise be discarded. Each piece is carefully handmade using knotting, weaving and traditional rope techniques.

The creations mainly include handcrafted baskets that are durable and multifunctional, with colors and textures reflecting the maritime origin of the recycled ropes. Each piece is unique and carries the story of the sea and the material from which it was made.
