II Marina de Lagos' Nautical Conference

The 2nd Marina de Lagos’ Nautical Conference happened on the 19th March, within the ‘9 months, 9 events’ programme.

The presentations started with ‘Osmosis and osmosis treatment’ by Hugo Henriques, from Sopromar boatyard. The theme raised several doubts and questions that were promptly answered by the speaker, who delivered advice to prevent osmosis.

The presentation about sails, masts and their care needs, by António Viegas, from Fofovelas, followed. Once again the subject was very useful and generated some debate among participants and speaker.

After a short coffee break, José Manuel Velez presented the European Blue Flag and the Blue Flag for boats. The conditions and intentions of these programmes were explained, as well as their evolution in time. The discussion raised actual situations in Marinas and how to deal with them.

The conference had the presence of about 30 guests, to whom we thank for their participation and comments during and after the event.
